Some users are reporting that the download links they get to from their "My Products" page are not working properly or getting download files that are not the correct format. Avid is aware of this and is working to correct it. In the meantime, users experiencing this problem are encouraged to go directly to the download center, and then the appropriate secondary link to download the product they have purchased. And BE SURE to use the uninstaller file that's already in your applications folder - DO NOT use the one included in the DMG download.
