Carl Amoscato began editing with Avid products starting with Media Composer in 1996, while serving as a Captain in the US Air Force, and a Combat Camera producer/director. After leaving the military, Carl worked as a Media Composer editor for the US Army for a few years before succumbing to an urge to travel. Aboard Royal Caribbean's M/S Vision of the Seas, Carl edited on Media Composer and Xpress DV while sailing to Baja California, through the Panama Canal, across the Pacific Ocean to Hawaii, and past Alaska's Hubbard Glacier. Upon his return to land, Carl moved to New York City where he worked for PR Newswire on Media Composer Adrenaline, Major League Baseball, and ESPN on Symphony Meridien. Before retirement he was a freelance editor living in London, where his clients included CBS News and Al Jazeera.
