  • Final video looks washed out

Hello Everyone! Some of you may be able to help me with 2 problems I'm having while exporting. I've been working on a project with 1280x720 progressive footage and burned it to DVD only to find it looks washed out. I spent many hours color correcting all the footage and have been previewing all footage on a calibrated 50" monitor using

  • Clips will not slide down timeline

Hello Everyone, I'm having some frustrating issues while I'm trying to slide media down the timeline or shuffle media around. Basically I have 6 tracks of media and I'm rearranging clips throughout the timeline. Sometimes I want to slide several minutes worth of media down the timeline or several clips to give me a little breathing room

  • Re: Turning off RTAS Plug-In

I have not tried creating a new project and opening the bins in there. I do have the Normalize Effect from the Audio Suite on all the audio, even in A2, I also have some EQ effects on some of the clips. Thanks for the suggestion on updating to the version, I'll try that first. I'm using a PC and Pro Tools is not installed. Thanks Again! - Jared

  • Re: Turning off RTAS Plug-In

Thanks for Your Reply Bishop! I currently have version 5.0.3.20775 All inserts are removed, all inserts are set to "no insert". Its the middle block that keeps activating, even though its grey, when I click it, the RTAS with the effect it keeps using opens up even though the effect has been deleted and the insert is grey. I tried moving all

  • Turning off RTAS Plug-In

Hello Everyone! I'm having some troubles with the RTAS Plug-In and I must be missing something. I originally placed an RTAS effect in one of the 5 slots available in A1, I decided to remove the effect and although the effect no longer shows up in the little block in the A1 timeline it still activates at certain times. I cannot seem to remove the

  • Re: Importing Alpha Channels in MC5

Larry and Carl, Thanks for your expertise! Your suggestions worked flawless. I love it that Avid will play the Alpha's in real time in V2 over footage in A1. Such a time saver and flow enhancer as viewing the media in real time without rendering first allows me to get the Alpha on the exact frame it needs to be for optimum flow. Thanks Again! Much

  • Importing Alpha Channels in MC5

Hello Everyone! I'm hoping someone has an answer for me. I'm trying to import a quicktime I created in After Effects and rendered out with an Alpha Channel, the only problem is, when the file comes into Avid the Alpha isn't there. I double checked and brought the rendered file back into After Effects, and the file does in fact have an alpha

  • Re: Audio Gain Keyframes All Locked

THANKS A BUNCH! That's good to know, much of my audio needed to be normalized because Clip Gain and Auto Gain don't quite get it high enough and by the time the mix is done I may very well have to lower the DB's a few if it becomes too hot, this will be a fast efficient way of doing so. Thanks Again! - Jared
