I had the same issue with MC 8 and 10.9.2. Its fixed for me by moving the white Mac 'task/finder bar' in the display arrangement section to the desired monitor to be used for full screen playback.

I read recently that these options are not currently avilable in MC8. I am about to start a documentary and need to at least use the script sync feature with the transcribed interviews. I found this invaluable the last time I did non-fiction work. What are my options at this stage? Can I at least get an old version 7 trial with this feature for 30 days

Yes, I have tried that. And it seemd to make things better but as the project is quite far advanced I was hoping to avoid that route as there a ton of bins. Also, the sequence-dragging-crash still happens with new bins... I am not running this on my hackintosh system but the productions 27 iMac i7.

Hey guys, i am having issues editing a 5.5 originated project on a 6.5.4 system and was wondering if this is a compatibilty issue. I keep getting 'The Binary File has been corrupted' errors when match framing and selecting Open Bin. In addition, dragging sequences to the source viewer will crash the system. After a restart it works for a while

Have Avid announced a date when this new Avid Support renewal plan will be available? (or maybe even Euro pricing?) And am I correct in saying that I can upgrade my current 5.5 license to MC8 this year by purchasing this new 299 plan? Would save money compared to the 5.5 -> 7 update I was due to buy.

Ok, it appears to be a corruption of the Search_DB in the project file. I have deleted it and its rebuild and now seems to be ok.

Hi all, my search function in MC5.5.1 has stopped working today. I get two different errors: - In the Clips and Sequences Tab: SQL could not be executed - In Scripts: The famous Bus Error in Main Thread I have deleted MC State but had no joy. Everything worked fine last night. Any ideas? Thanks!
