When doing what final cut would call capture now in media composer is there a way to feed timecode to a deck and somehow, via rs-422 use that timecode as the video TC? I have an analog to digital converter (a little Sony thing) and I am looking to feed some specific timecode to the avid that goes along with the video. Can I use the serial port with

I have had some white squares appear in my MC timeline. I believe they mean that the two clips are sequential from the source, similar to the red triangles in FCP. Can someone confirm this?

Found a way around it. CMD+A, CMD+C Go into text edit CMD+V They show up just like they would if they were exported. Do the find replace and then copy and paste them back to the timeline - works well so far.

I get that invalid file name thing because my locators are over 27 char long.

Assuming there is something to render - yes. I'd much rather have the feature than not, however.
