  • Avid link and the activation / deactivation pain.

Hi All, I have just seen the survey that i missed last week. Perhaps that was a sign that this is causing issues for others and not just me. I have a perpetual licence having had avid as my main editor for over 10 years. I run a windows 10 Desktop and 2 Hp laptops all with the latest version of MC installed. I only have the 1 licence so i need to swap

New system been going well. hard to quantify speed but as a guide I generally use Resolve Studio to grade and Export projects that need it. Did a side by side H265 2 min MP4 test on both rigs with the same project 5. Project was 4k. Old Rig - 12min 3 seconds New PC -1min 45 seconds. Most of the projects i do need multiple exports through Resolve so

Hello all. For those interested the build is complete. Very happy so far on day 4. Everything went together without issue which i put a lot down to the quality of components. I went higher end after more investigations thanks to the recommendation of some posters here. I listed the parts used on an earlier post and im happy to say the build quality

All components out for delivery today so will think about sending back the 2666 for faster.... Yes the pcie card would be bad to install os on im feeling. I have included a samsung 2.5inch ssd

All very good points thankyou. Few points that i have found while pre planning this although i could be wring on some bits. Firstly not looking to overclock. The Gigabyte 10g motherboard only supports up to 2666 ram i believe.. Was told by 2 different system configs that there was no benefit to faster ram as it would be limited to the 2666 anyway on

[quote user="Trensharo"] What PSU you need heavily relies on what components you use. There are Ryzen and Intel CPUs that use 65-95W and others that can use 200W or more. Then there's the MOBO, Drives, GPU(s), etc. a Ryzen 7/9 System (or comparable Intel) with 3 drives and 1 GPU should be more than fine with 800W. People getting i9s and

Thanks for the heads up. Total wattage works out at 625w on pc part picker.com. Might push it out to a 1000w just to be safe.
