  • Scanning/Indexing problem

Earlier today, I was importing some graphics into a project. During the import something went wrong and Media Composer crashed. Now when I restart the program, Avid attempts to scan and index a particular partition, gets about halfway through, and freezes. I have restarted the program, un and remounted the partition it is indexing, restarted the computer

  • Canon XF305 issue

I recently shot some footage with the Canon XF305. I also downloaded the AMA plugin for Avid from the Canon website, and installed it no problem. Now, when I link them in the XF Utility I can look at the clips just fine, but whenever I attempt to mount the volume as AMA in Avid, I get told that it can't link clips or that the volume is not an AMA

  • PhraseFind Indexing issue

I have recently installed PhraseFind on my system, and while for the most part it is working gloriously, it won't index certain clps. There is no discernable difference between this clip and other clips that it has indexed just fine, in fact a few of them were ingested off the same P2 card and have been indexed just fine. They are not linked via

  • AAF export issues - Empty tracks

I am exporting AAFs for a show, and for some reason, two tracks are showing up as empty. I have 20 total audio tracks in a seqence, and when I export, all but A1 and A2 come out fine. When I have isolated those two tracks and exported, they are still empty. I have consolidated the media to a new drive, and done an AAF that way. I have cut the audio

  • DIsappearing Locators

I am using MC 5.0.3.8 I spent a good deal of time placing locators on a clip, and then I went to look at a subclip that had been made of what I was marking, came back to the original, and all the locators had disappeared. I had bin lock, didn't close anything, just simply went from one clip to another, does anyone have any idea why this might have

  • Import Sync Issues

I have been downloading .flv files from youtube, converting them to .mp4 files with Handbrake and importing them into my Avid Media Composer (3.5.4) For some reason the audio slips out of sync on import. I have checked the source files and the audio is in sync, but when it is brought in it slips. Does anybody know a reason for this?
