I use BetterTouchTool for automating with keystrokes in Media Composer. Works well for me.

It may be possible to do this in Media Composer, but you may find it far less frustrating to use After Effects.

The image you posted looks like it could be a low resolution .BMP from the ICON folder (within the P2 Contents folder). Try linking again, this time drilling down directly to the.MXF files in the VIDEO folder to see if the quality improves. Not sure, but you may have to link to your audio tracks separately since those are in a separate AUDIO folder

I did a clean install of Mojave on a new 27" iMac and I'm very happy with it.

I have had the exact same issues with 2019.x. Ended up going back to 2018.12.8 until 2019.x works better.

Upgrading is the only solution I found.

Thanks Cutyes! Yes, that was it. I had inadvertently removed/replaced that button when customizing the new interface.

Since upgrading to from 2018.12.x to 2019.8, whenever I use a segment mode tool, it automaticall selects multiple tracks (audio & video) in the timeline. I can't seem to find a way to drag just one track. I've disabled sync locks and searched through all the timeline settings but can't find a way to select just one track. Any advice

Last October I posted on this thread that I wished there was a way to turn off the Live Timeline. Now it's time to eat my words! Over the last several months, I've grown to very much appreciate the capabilities. Yes, I had to slightly alter my workflow, but the benefits of the Live Timeline functionality made it well worth the effort!
