• Re: Media Composer v2019.6 -- NOW AVAILABLE -- w/new UI

How can I close a project / switch between projects without having to close MC completely? It always worked by clicking on the X of the main bin / Project bin which doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Thanks.
Hi, I tried to replicate on my Win v2019.6 but no problems here. I suspect that the first question tech support will ask is whether you created all NEW User Settings upon installation ? Give that a try if applicable , call support and perhaps try to replicate on your system with a brand new v2919,6 project if it wasn’t

  • MC 2019.6 - bug: Sequence-copy automatically gets replaced / updated

Hi! I've experienced a wierd bug, that really messes things up a lot: I have 2 basic bins: one "Edit" bin (where I keep the most recent version of my sequence) and one "old edits" bin where I throw in the sequence from the edit bin every morning to have a backup of that version (this sequence has the ".copy" naming

  • Re: Playing Clips in MC2019

I can confirm: doubleclicking on a clip in frame view doesn't switch the keyboard input to the source monitor, but keeps it in the bin instead...all working fine in text and script view though... PLEASE fix that...can't believe why nobody at Avid has experienced that?! But apart from that (and the "setting in out stops playback" bug

  • Re: Media Composer v2019.6 Source playback in and out stops playback

Same here. Plus doublecklicking on a clip in a Bin in frame-view won't switch the keyboard input automatically to the source window, meaning when you hit space immediately after doubleclicking a clip in a bin MC will play the clip in the bin instead of playing it in the source monitor.
Maybe you're both right. I see it happening when the bin is in frame-view, but not happening when the bin is in text-view. I am on an all fresh test setup, new OS, new MC (2019), new User. Very annoying...
I didn't try that as I'm always working in frame-view...had to reinstall MC2018 because it was
On our system the clips play back in the Source Monitor like before. Have you created a new user setting for version 2019?
Yes, I've created new settings and a new project, but that didn't help. BTW: what do I have to do to completely get rid of all users? Deleting the files in "Avid MediaComposer

  • Playing Clips in MC2019

Hi! Couldn't find anything on google but this must have been asked before: when I doublecklick on a clip in a bin and hit space immedeately afterwards in order to play it, MC doesn't play the clip in the source window, instead it plays it in the bin (in other words: MC doesn't switch to the Source Window after doubleclicking on a Clip).

Check out the Group "MacProUpgrade" on Facebook. They are all about getting classic Mac Pros upgraded and working with the latest OS. I have a 4.1, that I have flashed to a 5.1 (pretty easy to do) and with a 5.1 you can "legally"without any cracks etc. go up to Mojave. BUT I'd recommend not going higher than Yosemite with the

Hello again! Has been a while... Thanks for all your replies. To sum up what i‘ve Been reading from you and what i‘ve been experiencing myself: xeons are not worth the extra money and haven’t been since at least avid V4.5. Back then, my dual core MacBook Pro was way faster than my macPro (Xeon), because MC couldn’t and still
