I'm using DVDit 6 to burn DVDs from an HDV project. Just wondered if anyone knew how that program handles colour space of video files as I can't find an option to choose RGB/601 for imported files. Judging by the desktop preview window it looks like it assumes all your files are RGB because my blacks are looking very washed out. Also just did some tests

I'm digitising HDV at native resolution from an M25 deck. If I have set in and out for a capture and then hit the digitise button I find that the abort capture button doesn't work like I've experienced before. Although the capture is aborted the deck will not relinquish control back to the capture tool until it has finished seeking the inpoint that

Wait a minute. Correction. I'm getting OMF video and MXF audio. I forgot to switch Audio creation back to OMF as well. Problem solved. Thanks guys.

Thanks for reply. I came across a mention of MPEG Streamclip software elsewhere on forums and have re-ripped the files perfectly. Very usefull piece of free software.

I'm reworking on an old project (pre MXF days) so all the existing media is OMF in an OMF folder. I've set all media creation to OMF 1:1 hit APPLY TO ALL and set media type to OMF. However when I import files I still get MXF files in the MXF folder. Haven't tried digitising just importing. Bug or am I overlooking something? XPro 5.7

Thanks for the confirmation but what about 1:1 in 25p? Why isn't that an option?

What is the resolution of the image contained on a standard PAL DVD disc. Is it 720x576 like I'm used to with everything Avid or some smaller resolution. Reason I ask is, I've been given some files ripped from DVD and they appear in Quicktime to be 720x416 which doesn't match any TV format I've seen. Is it possible that they have been poorly ripped

Just starting a new project that will have some uncompressed quicktimes as source material. I notice on Xpro 5.7 that I only have the option of 1:1 media when I choose a 25i project but I would prefer a 25p project. Am I missing something? Am I right in assuming that the only difference between 25i and 25p prjects is the way that Avid handles transitions
