I really did not touch any of the settings in Sonic DVD except for the preferences-simulation-aspect ratio-and changed it to 16:9. What should the settings be in avid. I want to make sure I had the correct settings.

I have transcoded my footage shot native 16:9 1080i to DNX-HD. I exported as a quicktime reference and imported into Sonic. I burned a DVD with beautiful quality, but the picture is squashed. Anyone know where in my settings I am screwing up?

Avid is giving me various errors and I cant figure out how to fix them. The funny thing is that I can still work in Avid and complete projects. Here is the serious of errors I get when I start up my computer. On start up of the computer I get: Avid Start up.exe-application error/referenced memory/memory could not be read I hit ok and the next error

I was successful at transcoding the sequence and exporting as a quicktime reference. I then imported into DVDit and was able to produce a DVD,. However, I still have the problem where it is squeezing the image. There must be something in the settings I am doing wrong.

When I tried the QT REF I got this error message: Long GOP media can not be exported using QT Ref. You need to export the sequence as a Quicktime Movie. I found out what the GOP stands for, but what does it mean? Is it not a good idea to go from Avid directly into the authoring program bipassing the third party encoder? I still get a good quality image
