If you have AvidFX, then I would use that. Just create the text, then drop it into a text container and set to crawl.....really quick and easy.... Mark

What if you import directly into Avid ???? When you say ropey are you referring to banding ???? Is Avid set to green/green ??? It is the little button like colors at the bottom of your timeline to the left.... Mark

Capture the clips using the DNXHD CODEC, then export and choose same as source. Then have your friend install the Avid CODECS on his/her system.

Douglas, That is a great tip, as when I deleted Liquid I had that very same error....after 2 or 3 retries of reinstalling Media Composer I googled that error....the fix was exactly as you posted !!! Take care

Not sure if this would help...but recently had some AVCHD footage that I had to use...and had very few tools to use (was a temporary room set up in Whistler for the Olympics). I brought the AVCHD footage into After Effects CS4....dropped it onto a timeline (was cool because I could remove everything I didn't want), then just rendered out to a DNXHD

Hello all, So I have to come up with a workflow using: Media Composer (3.5) on laptops, Symphony Nitris Classic (3.5), Sony U1 reader, and some external hard drives. I reinstalled Media composer, then without running, inserted the Dongle...next, I ran the Dongle manager and double checked that my numbers matched (sys id etc), then ran Media composer, and voila, it worked...I didn't actually do anything to the Dongle...but it would appear that reading the
