It should take anyone with minimal knowledge of web page design about 2 minutes to change the wording at the links. Maybe a further 5 minutes to find suitable images and replace the ducks. Well, I tried . . . . . Regards Douglas
Douglas, In a large organisation such as Avid, the first step in implementing

Dennis, I think that Scott has the right idea. Keep the work on a network drive (NAS) so it is accessible by all computers and then activate/deactivate as needed to do either transcoding or editing wherever you wish on the network. Please note that if the laptop is connected to the network via WiFi, it will be slower than if using a wired connection
Why not leave Liquid on your old PC and keep it, Then put MC on a new PC?
As Roger suggests, keeping the old PC for Liquid would also allow you to have a spare computer for other things. I use my Liquid computer for Internet browsing and testing new software, allowing my MC computer to be as "clean"

I wonder if that e-mail from Adobe is just someone phishing using the Adobe logo? I tried to check the "password reset" URL and it came back as unknown. I also received a similar message from the Sony Reader Store because my Sony e-reader uses Adobe DRM to protect eBook content, according to the message. Can anyone confirm that the Adobe password

Tomas, Thanks for not only the tutorials, but for bumping this thread periodically so it won't get lost. Maybe one of the Moderators could pin it at the top? That would help many others and you would not need to keep bumping! Until now I didn't need this workflow as I was using an HDV camera, but recently I joined the 21st century with an AVCHD
Right, but I don't believe you can have multiple versions of MC on the same system. You'd need to have multiple computers or boot partitions, IIUC.
My understanding is that you can have multiple installations of MC, but can only have one activated at a time. If that is the case, the question that

Dom's explanation of the use of J2K for video compression made me realize just how easy it is to forget the basics. Without thinking about it, I always associated JPEG (and JPEG 2000) with still pictures. I suppose that is because JPEG vs RAW are settings that can be made in my still camera, but not in my video camera. When I now think about it
Dennis Google changing drive letters in windows and change your Graid to M or any letter after that and it will be permanent. You may have had another external drive attached Which caused this to happen . HTH Mike
In addition to Saylur's comment about drive letter naming, I tend to use the highest letters
