  • Re: Beatles' Now And Then...

The primary editor was Jabez Olssen. He and Peter used a lot of the original footage to splice into the Now and Then video. WētāFX completed the video using some very simple but tricky VFX shots. So there may have been a few CGI shots, but not many of them.

The music video was shot and directed by Peter Jackson. Yoko Ono provided 2 of the cassettes. Sean Lennon and Olivia Harrison provided unseen home film footage, and Apple provided 14 hours of film from 1995 with Paul, Ringo and George still working on the last song. Pete Best provided the Beatles earliest film in leather suits, which no one else had

This could be a display off issue. On Ventura, try the following: From the Apple Logo, choose System Settings. The Lock Screen is on the left side. Select the Lock Screen. Change the power and battery settings to Never. Reboot the system This may or may not fix the issue. Give it a try.

  • Re: Uprezzing

The current version is significantly better than the much older versions. It will detect and remove the interlace when going from 720x480 to 1920x1080 (it willl look for this automatically). You can also look at the originals using MediaInfo ( https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo ) and selecting Tree mode. This will tell you if the interlace is top field

Actually, Topaz Video AI sharpens everything. And I do mean everything. Any old DV tapes that I have turn into high-resolution FHD and everything looks much better. I do the same for DVDs as well. Also the performance has improved quite a bit (just not for everything; some older videos can take 12 hours to process; Or 3 hours.) I recently upgraded a

  • Re: Embed a Hyperlink into a video

If you want to embed a URL, you can use the Titler+ to embed the link to another video. There is no way to embed an actual link in any video. There are also a few other ways to embed a URL into a video (e.g Photoshop or Gimp or other titling software), but this require a bit more effort.

Topaz Video AI will uprez a 4K video to an 8K video. It can also do stabilization, motion deblur and frame interpolation for slow motion from 2x to 16x. You can do this to a 4K video for output from a 4K video input.

  • Re: Uprezzing

I use Topaz Video AI to up the resolution on all of my old DV tapes. This goes from 29.97 interlaced to FHD 59.94 non-interladed progressive. I also upgrade my interlaced HDV tapes to non-interlaced progressive FHD, and some of my FHD videos go to UHD. I will tell you that it can take a long time to convert from DV to FHD (and you need a GPU to help

  • Re: AMPIPIPluginDSM.avx Crash on Launch - No Solutions Work - Please Help!

The AMPIPIPluginDSM.avx location is in the Avid\Avid Media Composer\Private_Plug-Ins directory. If you remove it you won't be able to install any other plug-ins. Or maybe you will. You can try renaming it to something else, but MC may not be able to find or install it. This is your choice to see what happens. If it fails, you'll just have to

  • Re: Workstation for MC and Resolve - funky GPU ideas

The answer is Avid will not work with an older Quadro card. It also doesn't work well with a newer GTX/RTX card as much of the processing is CPU based while some of it is GPU based. Resolve will not work well with an older Quadro card. It works fine with current GTX or RTX cards (and get an RTX card instead).
