  • Re: Failed to Initialize Audio Hardware - Fixes

Just to continue on from my previous post - A quick search on Google shows that RTHDCPL.exe is the program that runs the Realtek Audio Manager and to get rid of this running I used CCLEANER to disable it as a start up process in XP. Drivers still okay - MC start still okay but this cheesy sound manager program is not running. Will continue with further

  • Re: Avid Liquid Quicktime exportproblem

I cannot really answer your main question because .... My experience with Quicktime and Liquid is that - it is always a bad experience Whilst MC loves Quicktime - Liquid loathes it and almost without fail whenever I try to export / import / edit QT files in Liquid I have crashes / freezes or bad quality results. To get Liquid files into MC5: Export

  • Re: Failed to Initialize Audio Hardware - Fixes

Hello After working with the realtek drivers for a while (but unfortunately not extensively) I have realised that for this fix to work you have to have the option "Use Windows Mixer" enabled. To do this: In Media Composer - Settings go to "Sound Card Configuration" and tick the option box that says "UseWindows Mixer". I

  • Re: Failed to Initialize Audio Hardware - Fixes

Hello Glad to hear that you could repeat the problem Marianna, often that is half the way to solving it! Luca, I did try the TotalRecorder fix, but never got a new option in the Control Panel, Sound and Audio Devices, Audio tab, but that is what gave me the idea of trying the Audigy drivers over the Realtek drivers. Anyway Happy Holidays to all and

  • Failed to Initialize Audio Hardware - Fixes

Hello I got the "Failed to Initialize Audio Hardware" error on MC startup when I first moved to MC5. Not wanting to spend time trying to troubleshoot this error I went and bought a Creative SoundBlaster Audigy card and all was well. But now I need the Sound card's PCI slot for a Matrox MX02 Mini and I dont want to have to buy a new MoBo

  • DVDit HD and MC5

Hello I have DVDit Pro HD running on a secondary machine, I have installed the Avid LE codecs on this machine, however everytime I place QT file that was originally exported from MC as Same as Source (either with Avid codecs or without) onto DVDIT Pro's timeline it causes the DVDit Pro application to crash. Any one got any ideas?

  • Re: Link to media

Hello During import you tell MC5 what the quality/format of the imported files should be. If the import setting in MC5 is the same setting/codec/format and structure of the original files, MC5 will just make a copy of the file in its media directory (and call it an MXF file) - this is a "fast import" If the import settings are different to

  • Re: Mixing down timeline

Hello To add some Liquid related content - A mixdown differs from a Liquid fuse in that it is not (easily?) available outside of MC5 (as it is an MXF or OMFI file format I have never been able to use one outside MC) It is as Larry said a new clip of all timeline tracks that have been mixed down to 1 track, and like a fuse you cannot reverse it back

  • Re: easiest FX for controlling transparency of a clip

Make an edit cut where you want to fade to and from black Goto the quick transitions and select "dip to colour" and then make the transition 1 or 2 or 3 seconds. The transition will fade from the first clip to black and then fade from the black to the second clip. Very quick and easy, also oyucan change the colour from black to any colour
