Hi All, This is a strange question. I am director and editor. I am currently working with a client that has an in house editor. We are working on a video that has a montage section that will be music driven. the piece then moves into a dialogue section without music. I sent the editor some temp tracks and asked him to cut the montage to them. His response

Yeah, we imported them as a sequence of layers. Our old "sequence of layers" is currently in our timeline. All where they need to be. we had to re-color the psd files, so, we did that, and now we have new psd files, as a sequence of layers, that we need to replace w/ the older ones. The problem we are having is that Avid let's us do this

the reason they need to br brought in as different layers is because they need to come in and fade in and out at different times. like different points of a speech being made. make sense?

we can re-link the new PSD files to the old ones, but it is only letting us do it ONE LAYER at a TIME. (which blows!) we have about 25 files, w/ about 6 layers each. anyone suggest a way that will re-connect all the layers at the same time, per psd file? when we try to do this it says "Error, cannot read Mac0S Files" - or something to that

I have a problem (whats new). I upgraded to 5.7.7, and they gave me a updater.avd file to get. I downloaded that and now it says to open it but i dont have the correct application, donglemanager.exe Do i need to download this? Shouldnt they have given it to me? My intern says .exe is a PC file, but i know i clicked MAC for the download. any help?

I upgraded successfully to 5.7.7 running on 10.4.10, but when I tried to actually open the program it says "this system does not support" whats going on?

I know Avid only offically supports Mac 10.4.10, has anyone successfully used Avid Express Pro 5.7 w/ Mac 10.4.11? Thanks in advance.
