Historically, powerful software at these prices is an unprecedented value, subscription or perpetual. Same with FCPX and Resolve at $299 for purchase. I really like this new look. I can see a lot if Premiere and even some FCPX in there and I think Avid could have done an entire viral marketing campaign around putting the weightlifter icon back on the tool bar! The quote from the gentleman at the end hits the nail on the head: Creativity from brain to screen without having the software get in the way
