I'm using MC5.5 and I have 2 x Dual Xeon 5150 CPUs. During rendering, MC uses all 4 cores to about 80% in total more or less.

I'm running MC5.5 on W7 64-bit. I also have MC6 on a different partition. Personally, I would upgrade to the latest i.e. MC7 if possible. I'm only using MC5 at the moment because I have a Analog Mojo which is not supported on MC6 and above.

You might want to start with the list of supported machines (it also lists the qualified graphics card too). I believe the Dell T7600 is on the list. This is useful info too. I don't anything about 4K requirements, although, this thread talks about 4K.

It's great to hear that MC7 does it. I'm using MC5.5.3.7 and I have MC6 but not 6.5 so I can't import it. I use a Panasonic SD707 that shoots 1080P/50.

You'll have to convert it to 25p. I use Sorenson Squeeze to do that. If you convert it using the DNxHD codec in Squeeze then it will fast import into Avid.
