Is there any way to add locators/markers always to the video track, even if the track is not activated? Or is there a way to delete clips from tracks without deleting the markers on those tracks? I am trying to log a sequence with footage from a shooting day with a lot of audio tracks. I created a sequence with all clips and I am trying to delete the

I have to open an aaf which is created in logic in avid mc. Audio files are in a separate folder, i imported them and put them in the same bin as the aaf. But i cannot get it to relink. Any solution?

I have some problems with audio jumps on my recorder (zoom f6). To check, I want to feed the LTC output of the recorder to an audio track of the recorder and see if file tc and audio tc differ at the end of the track. As timecode output always stays constant but audio jumps, this should work. But avid seems to read TC only at the beginning of each file

Thanks for all your help! I have to work with 32 bit for this project. So I guess there is absolutely no solution and I cannot work with avid. Thats a big bummer. I guess I will switch to FCPX for this project, as I can work natively with those video and audio codecs..

Hi, MC can AMA-Link to video files with 32 bit audio, but not consolidate those videos or transcode to another format that keeps the 32 bit audio. As the volume of my clips is either a little too high or a little more too low, I was wondering if there is any way in avid to adjust the volume of the tracks before transcoding to 24 bit and so avid clipping

The resolution will be retained, even in DNxHR LB UHD. But I am afraid the quality will degrade far too much. From what I can see in a demo video, macroblogging will be even visible when working in an hd timeline with DNxHR LB UHD.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuFFHfRWuBQ

You are right! but what does tgecreduktion mean?
-
DNxHR LB has even only 4 Mb/s in HD.
-
Oh I was wrong. Its 17 MB/s for DNxHR LB compared to 50 Mb/s XDCAM HD. DNxHD SQ has 57 Mb/s - which should be fine. https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/white_paper/DNxHR-Codec-Bandwidth-Specifications

I will edit a documentary for television thats captured in UHD 8bit, and we will output XDCAM HD in the end. We would like to use the UHD-resolution in some rare cases where we want to zoom in. As there is only limited space on the server for lots of footage we think about using DNxHR LB in 25p which uses even slightly less bandwidth than XDCAM HD
