  • Re: Avid Media Composer 5 announced!

Sorry about the tease - we were a little too aggressive publishing out new web content (working through the kinks of the new content management system). The link will go to the Media Composer family page . I believe the homepage will get updated with the new flash piece on Friday. Until then Dan is still the Automator man. Not to get your hopes up too

  • Re: audio problem/bad design web pages

Thanks a lot Tito. So in your specific case you ran into the "can't read light gray on black" issue. About 90% of our audience also suffers from this affliction. Believe it or not, there are tabs at the top of the MC5 page; one of which is Specifications, and another is System Requirements. We are reworking the tabs to be much more visible

  • Re: audio problem/bad design web pages

Hi Tito, thanks for the feedback regarding your web search. I don't want to offer too much in regard to excuses regarding why the current version of the site is as it is, but I will just drop a mention to the fact that the undertaking of migrating all of digidesign.com into avid.com was an incredible lengthy process where most of the effort had

  • Re: Cannot log in with Firefox

Andrew, to rule out as much as possible would you mind completely removing all avid.com (community.avid.com, data.avid.com etc.) cookies from your FF browser?Another step to consider is to uninstall FF and then reinstall; but I can't say that this would fix the issue. My suspicion is that there's a conflict with some old bit of data stored in

  • Re: No Bullets

There are obvious css file conflicts within the community section. For me the proper solution is to break down all the code and then rebuild it as simply as possible; we never really had a chance to do that but I should be able to now address the css issues. Randall, is there any chance you can do a screen grab and post it? I'm curious about the

  • Re: Find favorite post's

Thanks for the heads-up; definately this was one feature that just 'disappeared' in the UI skins. I've re-added it now, so if you click on your profile link a list to all your favorites is listed as the last item on the left sidebar area. Also, if you have enabled your favorites to be shared, anyone can see them; they are listed within your

  • Re: How to save text of a long post?

Another thought would be to grab the rss feed, which will strip out alot of the layout tables you don't want. You will, however, still have the xml tags but these should be easier, and better, to parse through. I haven't tried it, but Excel may help put all the message text into columns for you. An example of an rss url for this thread would
