You need to achieve about 60 MB/s of SUSTAINED storage speed. Simple 2 disk RAID 0 should achieve that. A single 1 Gb ethernet connected to ISIS should also achieve that. The likely cause of your bottleneck is the CPU. XDCAM 35 and 50 are Long GOP codecs. The modest bandwidth requirement is advantage over the high CPU demand. 12 core or better. I recommend

There is nothing to stop you from hosting a project in shared storage but keeping the media local. You will have bin locking. The issue that may arise is the non-shared media databases. I have a 27" monitor but my work desk is deep. My viewing distance is 36"+. Ideally it should be 20" inches at the given PPI. With a 32" UHD monitor 150% scaling seems appropriate in my situation. (edit: nm understood now)
