Which version of Interplay? Since 3.5 you don't really count files anymore like in the old days. The reason for that is that there are actually two services now indexing simultaneously, that is the old Media Indexer Service and additionally a MongoDB service for the Media Indexer. This means every file is indexed twice and the metadata is added

Jeroen, the new behaviour can be turned off in the jini.config file: com.avid.ummd.quarantine.QuarantineManager { static isIgnoreFailedItemsApproachEnabled = Boolean. FALSE ; } Chris

Kalimera Jeroen, This is documented in the "Whats New in Interplay 3.8.pdf" We have had this discussion some time ago. This seems to be a matter of pros and cons.... There are some reports where media was quarantined but it actually shouldn't. There are some files that could temporarily be broken, for instance while they are written/copied

Yep, happens to me too, but not in the Avid forums because I try to keep my messages short :) Re the archive issue, could it be that the sequences that fail share some media, like graphics or similar? cheers Chris

Hi Kenton, trying a mixdown would not be the solution for you, it would just be a test to see if a flattened sequence goes to archive. Would be worth a try, at least out of interest. Does the issue occur when running the archive job from any client, not just Mac? You should check with Avid support if you could apply the archive/restore provider patch

Hi Kenton, Could it be that users or passwords have changed recently, especially for Administrator? A quick search shows me that corrupted renders may cause the issue. Does this happen to all archive jobs? Have you tried to do a mixdown of the sequence and then archive? Which version of Interplay are you on? Which version are archive providers? cheers

Is it a greyed out reservation? Then it is inherited from a top level folder. You need to remove the reservation from that folder, then the inherited reservations on all subfolders and assets will go away, too.

Hi, that is more a matter of bandwidth. So you need to look at Interplay and ISIS. The maximum bandwidth you can get with ISIS7000 is 4.8 GB/s, and a total system bandwidth of 9.6 GB/s. Total maximum system capacity is somewhere around 3 PB. Clients can be connected 1Gb/s (with maximum approx 120 MB/s), or they can be 10Gb connected. There can be 330

Hi Mark, are you talking about Media Log? I know installations where they still use it, even in Interplay. They log the clips with media log (from XDCAM HD 50), then bring the bins to a MediaComposer with Interplay connection and import/batch import them there. The problem is that bins will not get checked in after the ingest process is done, because

Hi Dusan, has it been working before? Router control configuration is not an easy task, you should contact your reseller or avid support to get an engineer onsite. cheers -chris
