Thanks, didn't know about the media relatives.... does what it says it does, and while it solves my immediate problem, it is not as 'clean' as I had hoped... The cmd-e move works well.... but.... I don't get why there is the sift option for colour, but no way of identifying the colour.... never seen this in any other management system

  • Sorting bins by colour

Hello, this seems like an obvious answer, but I can't find it.... I want to sort a bin based to see only those clips that are in a timeline. Mostly for music and SFX. When I add a clip to a timeline, I change it's colour. So i want to sift the bin for clips I have (and haven't) used. When I choose colour as the range to search, I still need

  • Re: HEVC (iPhone X) @ 240fps

Thanks, Media Encoder doesn't do a bad job, but sometimes the footage is just green! • Sony A7Rii S-log, subclibs, transcoding and workflow

Hi all, I've done my due diligance and searched for advice on this one but seem to have come up blank (actually with more questions).... So, as per the title, using a Sony A7Rii, shooting with s-log, 4k, using xavc-s format (8.9.2 does generic AMA Link finally!). Love the camera and image quality (despite only being 8 bit etc), but just a little

  • Re: Sony's XAVC Codec's XAVC-S why can't I right click import? ANSWER ME!

I notice (??) that the most recent MC release seems to allow for AMA linking off the Sony XAVC S Codec.... although I have a question about this - given that there is the plugin also now available, what would be the advantage of buying and using the plugin? FYI - I'm pretty new to Avid, but not so new to video editing (FCP / Prem), although by no
