What is the workflow for exporting a finished master in the Avid T/line with a 5 to 1 surround sound mix. My students have been going via Final Cut Pro. This cannot be right. Please advise. Many thanks, Nolas

When my student attempts to transcode RED files this error comes up: Exception AMAProducerTask::Execute: AMA PLug-in Unable to Provide Sample. After uninstalling MC 7.0.2 on Mac Pro (Mountain Lion) and installing MC 7.0.3 we encountered this error–– Exception: DISK_ACCESS_Denied, filename:Site_Attributes So we uninstalled 7.0.3 and re-installed 7.0.2 - same error comes up with what appear to be licensing issues - Can anyone tell us what to do? I have looked over older posts and there appeared to be a bug as far back as MC 5.5. Is it still a bug? A number of students have complained that they export with handles according to the book but end up in ProTools with no audio handles. Be glad if someone could advise. many thanks, Nolas

Hi, I am having problems too with newly installed new version MC 6.0.1.1 patch. It opens up fine but when I attempt to link to files via AMA - up comes th spinning ball and crash - had seven crashes - uninstalled and re-installed again. Same thing. Has anyone had this problem? i was running MC 6.0.1 Mac OS 10.7.3 / 3.o6 GHz intel core 2 Duo / 4GGB memory

You may be better off transcoding with DNXHD 36 - especially if you are going to offline edit. You can also try Red Rushes - it's pretty simple to use. Good luck, Nolas
