If you click on it you'll get a big list of all the computers & configurations that Avid guarantees will work with Media Composer. I'd start there.

This is a known bug that they are working on, but I don't know when a resolution is expected. FWIW, I get the same error, but connecting a Blackmagic Ultrastudio Mini Monitor makes the error go away. Hi Daniel, If you're talking about the display at the bottom left of the Quicktime player, if you move the mouse over that display you can click on it and change it from frames to time. If that's not what you're talking about, what are you talking about?
