  • Issue with black/blank MXF OP1a exports

Having an odd, inconsistent issue with MXF OP1a exports. When I export out of a Full 4K project @ 1/16 proxy resolution, I'm able to pull it in to Adobe Media Encoder perfectly fine. It sees the correct resolution (1024x540) as well as the video and stereo audio. When I export out of a UHD project @ 1/16 proxy (960x540), Media Encoder sees this

  • Re: IMPORT TOO SHORT on batch re-importing stills

I just did a test. I freshly imported a photo, cut roughly 5 seconds from the middle of the clip in to a new sequence, took the media drive offline, and tried to batch re-import on the sequence. I got the same issue. Oddly, I don't get the issue if I cut the full duration of the photo master clip into the sequence. It's been awhile since I've

  • IMPORT TOO SHORT on batch re-importing stills

I have a bit of a weird issue. When I'm batch re-importing on a sequence to uprez still images, I get an error in the console saying "IMPORT TOO SHORT". Shouldn't it know how long to import each image based on the existing metadata? If I override settings and add a second to the duration, it fixes the issue, but that seems like a very

  • Re: Let's Make the Next MediaMover or MDV

I'm having an issue when scanning my renders drive where it crashes reliably part of the way through. I'm using the latest version of MDVx. Are there any troubleshooting steps I can take to get it to scan properly? Do I need to bite the bullet and re-build databases or something?

  • Re: Implement keyboard shortcut to activate "change text" in bin

Please please let this be a thing. In addition to making everything involving bins more efficient, it would also allow a much easier route to automating very tedious tasks that involve moving bin info into other programs or areas of Avid. EDIT: Just wanted to add that I found this thread when googling for a way to do this. I'm sure I'm not alone
  • Select Right to move clips using trim buttons in 5.5?

I'm feeling very confused right now. Here is what I'm trying to do: I'm syncing a couple cameras and audio. As I go through and move stuff around, I'd like to "select right" the camera I'm sync'ing with the base camera so that future clips in the timeline are either closer to sync or right on (hopefully). So, I'm
