Greetings community, Avid, Bob, Recently I had a customer with a failed system drive on an 'old' ISIS 5000. This system is to be replaced with a Nexis but it is still kept under support and an RMA was ordered. To my surprise Avid shipped a 1TB seagate drive to replace the original 250GB drive and unfortunately Intel RST 9.6 refuses to recognize

Dear Avid, In the transcode window there are the 2 options to apply source transformations, Color encoding and Frameflex. However in the audio part the option to apply audio slip is missing. Adding this feature would be very welcomed if source material is out of sync by a known amount and one wants to solve the issue before transcoding the AMA linked

Hi Jef, Not only do I understand your point, I think we are on the same side here with only minor differences, although Avid sales, marketing and especially the beancounters will probably disagree on the 'minor'. Before starting any argument let me typically (re)confirm that where the sweet point is of MC versions, free, standard, ultimate

Oh no, Not this non-ultimate -> no shared project + storage support and ultimate just being the new perpetual. The scalability option is IMHO THE great advantage to gain for MC. My perfect world would consist of a free MC that will allow AMA link and consolidate (not transcode, only rewrap so only MC native media) into a shared storage + pre-edit

Dear Avid, I believe I will have to open a case for this one. But like my last post, yesterday march 10 2018, on media composer <-> media indexer compatibility, my issue finds its roots in the documentation. The Nexis 7.11 client fixes several issues I have seen on several sites and is therefor highly welcomed. The media indexer 2017.2.1 readme

Dear Avid, Another general documentation question. The development team is doing great work getting all the interplay/mediacentral media indexer related issues fixed. But... With every new Media indexer fix the readme contains this sentence: • This patch is recommended to be installed on all Media Indexer v3.6.x, v3.7.x, v3.8.x, and 2017.2.x servers
"Email me replies to this post" doesnt work for me...
This issue is someting that keeps returning since I use this forum (which is quit some time, OMG I'm getting old). Ping Marianna Montague and the IT guys will fix it. SInce the last time they fixed it for me emails have kept comming. Fingers crossed

Hi MKJ Can you elaborate a bit on your findings as I have a similar issue at one of my clients, in this case with a IP 3.6 core and I am considering contacting my Spanish and English support reps. Up to and including 8.9.4 (while not problem free) there seem to be no compatibility issues. From 8.10 and up including the IP 3.8.1 and 2017.2 products weird
