Next week guys, no other option for a December release (assuming everyone at Avid gets two weeks off at the end of the month)

[quote user="Pat Horridge"] Its unknown as yet if the new M1 makes better use of RAM than Intel chips but even if it does The RAM requirement for MC have been growing over time and yes 16GB machines are still listed but at the bottom end of the spec range and for the simplest of editing tasks. typically offline proxy workflows. So why work
-
Yes, seeing Resolves update from today is blood boiling - The M1 chipset has been out for about a year and Avid's response that lumps the giant facilities with single users and boutique operations is their admission that they don't understand the fierce competition we, small businesses, are in. Ok, so split Media Composer to "Facility"

Hey Marianna, Any more info on this?

That's a real shame, especially when it appears that removing them gained so little in the grand scheme of things. But it's good to know Avid is commited to removing more of its most baseline functionality buttons from the user interface. May I suggest removing the Play button too? I mean, everyone is using the spacebar on their keyboards or

What I wish is that double clickin on a clip in the Find Tool would not open the original bin where the clip is but just load up the clip to the viewer so I can work with it. I sometimes search for a term that yields clips from 10 different bins and it makes little sense to open each of them. The Find Tool should be an active bin, and maybe it is in

We have an intricate and deep multi level folder structure. Working on feature documentaries with thousands of hours of footage (historical b-roll mainly).
-
I've noticed that. I don't want to do it to each bin, 400 of them in my project, each time I open a bin. Avid should adopt a system wide option to remove the bin container from each new opened floating bin.
-
Please make "Hide Sidebar" a permanent system wide option. It's absurd that each new floating bin opens with the whole Bin Container open on the left side. There are many of us who wish to keep as much of the old way of working while still enjoy the under the hood improvements. Please restore a "Project Window" at the same time
