  • Re: Big problem with not working licence

    Hello guys, I recently cloned my HD on a SSD and having problem with Avid Media composer. When I launch it, the "welcome to avid media composer" window appears anf it requires the activation procedure. I do it and at the end cannot get the license.bin file, but on http://www.avid.com/US/Support/Activate/Activate it says: Activation Failed

    Hi guys, what do you think about this: Lenovo IdeaPad Z50-75 (A10-7300) i was thinking to upgrade ram up to 12 gb i have a workstation in studio and i just need a pc to bring with me when i travel and keep on working. please let me know what you think.

    Hi guys, HP ENVY 15-k002nl Core i7- 4510U 12Gb 1Tb 15.6" FHD NVIDIA GeForce GTX850M 4GB Windows 8.1 I was thinking to buy this new laptop. Do you think avid mc would run well on jt working on hd footage? Thank you so much! Mario

    Hi Pat, thank you. I also think that not keeping source media is madness, but that's it. I started to export the clips as dnxhd, but i was hoping to find a different solution to save space on hard disk, given that a 14 mb mov as i have it now becomes 107 mb in dnxhd. do you have any precise advice on which dnxhd codec i could use to keep quality

    Hi guys, thanks for your help, but none of your advices solved the problem... My client told me that they used Fcp to import the footage and they throw away the original clips. So now this is the footage i must work with. I have the Calibrated XD and in fact i can see the clips correctly in quicktime. The problem is in Avid: it plays the audio but the

    Hi guys, i have some footage generated by an HDV Sony Camera and my client delivered it to me on an Hard disk as ".mov Files". This is what MediaInfo says about one of them: Complete name: F:\EL CASO KEVIN\AVOGADO 1\00_0001_0000-00-00_000000.mov Format: MPEG-4 Commercial name: HDV 1080p Format profile: QuickTime Codec ID: qt File size: 431MiB

I looked for informations and tips on google, avid forums, media editors' forums and could not find a single information. I just found some tips on how programming a generic midi controller but i did not understand
