Just updated them. It is a 2017 mbp. Listed the specs. Has served me well until 2018.12.13.

I don't consider the 2018 Macbook Pro to be a slow machine....far from it. What is it that is slowing down the application?

Will this bug ever be fixed or has it been fixed. I tried 2018.12.13, but this version runs much slower on my system so I backtracked and reinstalled 12.12. I am using 2018.12.12 and the program crashes 90% of the time when I attempt to modify the global settings for subcap. I am using media composer on Sierra on a MBP.

I still use the EX1r for event work, though I am using MC 2018.xx and the nablet plugin. Works fine with no issues. MC2020 has issues with xdcam footage?

So, just a bit of an update: PhraseFind now won't search at all but brings up an error after starting a search:"The Nexidia kernal had an internal error. Please contact Nexidia technical support." Their support is located where? What a waste of time and $$ this is.

I would say that PhraseFind is broken. I have yet to hear back from support; I started a ticket a couple of weeks ago. FYI, you can get it working temporarily by rebooting your computer and then restarting MC.

I was on the phone recently with support about this issue. Their response, listed below, worked for one project, but when I opened another project, it didn't work. Can you try to locate the following folder below by going to this path Mac HD>Users>Shared>AvidMediaComposer. AMA Management Avid FatalErrorReports AvidImageCache AvidSourceBrowserCache

Anyone having similar issues? Solutions? Not getting a lot of response here. I noticed that someone else recently posted about having indexing issues.
