I have a version 4 Avid in just now, I will check a digi-cut with that tomorrow and see if it behaves the same way....I.E. a tape shredder.

When I click digi-cut settings, in version 2.8.4, I get a "settings are in the digi-cut tool" message. Tried the stop any decks function too and it keeps the tension on in stop, after the cut is complete.

Do you mean Deck preferences and check the "stop any pauses decks if quiting"?

As far as I can see there are no settings in the digi-cut tool for setting stop or pause. There are however capture pause/stop settings that don't apply to the digi-cut tool (in the capture settings).

Well I had my suspicions before and I think I am right. After doing a digi-cut on a Digi-beta A500, I was hoping that when the cut was complete that the deck would be put into stop mode and then the tape at LEAST on tension release. Has anyone run MCA 3.5.1 on the Dell laptop, Vostro 3700 with Windows 7? I can digitize from an HVR-M25E via firewire and see the overlay in software mode while in SD PAL 720x576, but when I change to digitize HDV 1920x1080/50, I get the no input warning, aborted capture and no overlay too.
