Hi Chris, I too spent years delivering to PBS, a long time ago before HD, and at that time, PBS required delivery at Standard Def NTSC 601 Lower Field First. I still have copies of several Frontline Docs I edited that were originally delivered on 1" videotape and it was definitley NTSC 601 Lower Field First. Also, the PBS document you referenced

Hi Chris, I've been testing the new export capabilities with 22.7 and have found that even with a NTSC 30i project created, a 720x486 30i with lower field first will only export as progressive or upper field first. The NTSC 720x486 preset only allows the 16x9 option at 59.94i. When changed to 4x3 aspect ratio, the 59.94i option is not available

I spent a few hours last week struggling with the Audio Punch-In Tool. I could not monitor the audio during record or preview. I've used the tool many times over the years but this time I was stumped. I finally figured out that you must have at least one video track in the sequence in order for the existing audio tracks to be heard during punch

I'm having the same issue since upgrading to 2021.9. The punch-in tool workaround fixes it. I haven't tried switching to 44.1 yet.

I don't run Zoom on my Media Composer system, but Zoom makes the fans come run on both my 2019 MacBook Pro and a 2nd 2019 iMac in my office after about 45 minutes online. Because I often run Media Composer and After Effects or Media Encoder at the same time and rarely hear any fan noise, I believe the main issue is with Zoom.
