I just started a new project today and have a handful of files that are reporting 30.00 as the FPS in MC. I tried Transoding them but it doesn't like them because of the differing frame rate (project is 1080p/29.97). Tomorrow I plan to open one of the files in QTPro and attempt to convert it to 29.97 and then I'll link to the 29.97 version of

MXF files are the media files created whenever you create media inside Avid, (ie, Capturing, Importing, Rendering, Transcoding, Consolidating, Mixdowns, etc) they are not your project files. You don't need to re-import anything if they are Avid MXF files. If the MXF files are in the proper location (ie, Avid MediaFiles/MXF/1) then you can use Media

No one has seen this? It's killing me on long sequences. I have two seqs right now that are each about 1 hr 20 mins that are taking forever to export as a QTref. This really sucks, I just wanted to export a QTref, setup an encode and go home. I started the export over 30 mins ago.

I'm having issues with getting PhraseFind to activate, will deleting those folders help with that too?

A client I frequently freelance for just updated from v6.5.3 to v6.5.4.2 this week and we're now noticing that when exporting QTref files we see a dialogue box that says "Writing Quicktime file..." and the export takes much longer than what we're used to. Is this a new thing in v6.5.4? The sequence being exported is just a Video and

In the TC effect, there is an option to have a Notes or Comments field.

With Pan & Zoom effect, you don't actually "import" the image into MC. You link to the native image from within the effect editor controls. Pro Tip: Many people add the P&Z effect to a blank section of Filler. I always import the images and edit them into my sequence and then add the P&Z to the clip, that way if the link to
