Things to consider. 1. Are you dongle based or software based? If dongle and you want to stay that way (see current license issues some people are having) and are on a Mac (which it seems you are) you can not use a dongle beyond Big Sur. And 2023.12.0 ( the current version ) will work on that. I am using that version on Big Sur and it has been ok. 2

Just made a render in Resolve 18.6. DNx HD 220x 1080i 59.94 mxf Op1a. When linked into Avid 2023.12.0 it shows no TC at all. If I do the same render as mxf Op1 Atom, I get TC. Resolve sees TC in the file it created. Adobe Media Encoder sees TC in this file. Sigh ........ Jef

Converting Interlace to Progressive is difficult to do well, easy to do poorly. The fast, easy way is to repeat one of the fields. As you have seen, this reduces vertical resolution by half. Hello Gero, This sounds as if it might be related to an issue I had with UHD Progressive media being used in an interlaced HD project. Frameflex was doing a horrible job of scaling and converting P to I. My work around was to temporarily change the project to P, mixdown the offending shots after they were scaled, and switch back to I. Avid's response

MC ver 2023.12 I have a sequence from the 30i NTSC preset (720x486) 4:3 When I render out a MXF OP1a ProRes file, the result is a file that is 720x496 Top Field first.
