link and transcode at the source dimensions (4K or whatever) and they will be good to go. The only downside is they will all be 30 secs long....

you just do this....hit the return button and, you get paragraphs

This worked well and it was easy to make shorter clips from a transcoded sequence of the clips after the IN and OUT are set. That is how this is done, yes? The transcode creates new short clips and is just what the dr ordered.....except when it came time to bring in alpha graphics....then, while they show as short durations in the bin and in the sequence

a tip for all TP7 users....make sure your timeline time and NLE time match to get the video bkgnd to work..... it also works if the timeline time is shorter than the NLE time but a user would want to match those anyway....this made a big improvement in the consistency of the bkgnd showing up.....

Doing some noodling around with proxies and relinking, etc. It works just fine on any files with no alpha but gives inconsistent results with alpha files of various kinds and durations, etc. While the fact is most time the alpha files in a project are small and easy enough to just import, is there a reason why the alpha files are not so easy to relink
