I am able to export in all four settings (H264 Faster-Better-Best, DNXHD) with an expected file size in MC First 2023.3 by right clicking the Composer window and choosing Publish. Hope this helps.

Just for fun, i am going to try to make a Send To to Shutter Encoder.... ...it worked fine.....Shutter Encoder is launched and an MOV file loaded in it.....if memory serves, we could also get Procoder or Squeeze to automatically encode with a chosen setting but that is a fuzzy memory.....Shutter does not...but, you can save an export setting and start
-
This brings back some memories.....we had so many copies of Squeeze floating around......but, after testing, the Procoder and Procoder Express products were deemed to have the best encoding to make M2V files for DVD authoring. We built Send To functions so that MC would send a Quicktime Reference file (tiny) to the encoder and it could read the MXF

Newer CPU<->GPU bus speeds detected (2.2459) change after the new intel I9 cpu was put into service...what does this 2.**** number mean? Is a bigger number better? anyway...MC does seem to be happy with the RTX3060

HAS ANYONE GOT THE BMD SYSTEMS TO WORK WITH 2023.3? The last iteration that worked here was BMD v12 with an older AVID install. A request to BMD that they address this well known issue has gone unanswered.
-
Please try to duplicate this on a different machine with different hardware before reporting it. That is the first thing AVID will do.
-
Try pulling each stick of RAM out one at a time and see if that helps. There was a bad stick here that really threw some weird results and they were all over the place.
-
Apple used to suggest their computers be reformatted every two years minimum......perhaps it is time to reinstall the OS and maybe upgrade the HDs to new SSD, etc? Then you will start with a clean slate on the old machine with the latest OS it can support and the latest version of MC the unit will support.
-
DONT WORRY ABOUT DEACTIVATING.....THE NEW INSTALL OF AVID LINK WILL TELL YOU YOUR SYTSEM IS ACTIVATED ON THE OLD MACHINE AND ASKS IF YOU WANT TO DEACTIVATE IT. JUST INSTALL AVID LINK ON THE NEW MACHINE AND YOU SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO.

for some reason, i have test clips of XDCAM in two formats...the XDCAM disc and the EX drive version. Both as folders, etc and not physical discs. The XDCAM disc footage had all of its full resolution footage in the Userdata folder as MXF files and they came in fine. The Proxies are in the SUB folder. The EX footage was a series of MP4 files in folders
