The Hand Tool is very useful in FCP and especially in FCPX. In X, you can have the timeline playing, use the hand tool to move around, change to select tool and trim clips, adjust audio mix and back to hand tool without playback stopping. All in a $299 software. Count me in on MC getting a tool like that.
