About Jayasri (Joyce) Hart

An educational TV producer from India, Jayasri (Joyce) Hart works out of Los Angeles as an editor, producer and director of documentaries. Hart’s first documentary Roots in the Sand was a PBS offering for Asian American History broadcasts. Her second, Sisters of Selma, an ITVS-LInCS project with Alabama Public TV (Birmingham), was nominated for a regional Emmy and was included among the Smithsonian's Education in Ethics series of screenings. She has also made videos for Franciscan Media, Cincinnati, OH and UCLA Center for Social Medicine & Humanities and is currently developing her third independent documentary Own It! Louis Kelso's Macroeconomic Fix. Hart completed training for MC201 (FX for Documentary) and MC202 (Documentary Workshop). She has experience in Adobe CS and is affiliated with Community Theater, Asian media and civil rights organizations.
