Can anyone help. Avid have broken the xdcam legacy option in the link settings. When decomposing a xdcam seq with this option selected the new master clips should be the legth of the clip used in the seq plus handles. Hey Guys, I'm having an issue with XDCAM HD files that avid creates not passing quality control. Every file I make has a few frames where macro blocking is present. Is there anyway around this or do I need to use another program when creating XDCAM HD files? (read more)

When exporting a sequence to XDCam, it uses the defualt naming convention which is fine I dont need this to change. What is happenning however is it exports the sequence as "C0002" and then when you export the next sequence it overwrites the old sequence "C0002" with this new sequence... (read more)

We're having an issue exporting a mixed down sequence of DNx145. When exported as an XDCAM MXFOp1a we are finding pixelated video on the upper third of the screen. Yes, I have gotten both the venetian blinds look and a green-tint (and/or magenta-tint) flash frame or series of tinted flash frames. I'm using XDCAM footage and it seems to happen near transitions. the venetian blind phenomenon seems to happen near effects when i'm fading titles/keyed graphics... (read more)

HI I confirm that the file is an mxf Sony XDCAM one. I analyzed it with some tools (mxfAnalyzer, MXF Inspect ) and no errors was reported. The strange thing is that the same file plays correctly on Media Composer 8.5.3 and previous versions. The error is at about half time of the clip. I can't figure... (read more)
