When I was trying to co-install MC5.5 with PT8.0.4, I discovered that both were writing files to the same directory - C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Avid. I use AMComposer 5 and i export a QuickTime reference to be able to convert to the format i want using Super(c) conversor. My video is PAL (25fps 768 x 576 with square pixels, 16:9). I export it and it works perfectly as a QTRef. But after applying any kind of codec in Super, it gets cropped on the right... (read more)

I've seen 3 different versions of the Avid LE codecs: 1. v2.3.4 - MC5.5 2. v2.3.7 - MC6.0 3. v2.3.8 - MC6.5 I'm using MC5.5/v2.3.4. Are these updates specific for that particular version of MC or they are general updates that you can install on any version? Thanks (read more)

I am running MC 5.5.3 on 18 workstations and some of my students need to import AVCHD files from their Panasonic cameras. The only AVCHD plug-in I can find on the AVID site is for MC 6 and above.
