Hello, I have been given some fottage, codec is XDCAM HD they changed the folder structure. I can link each .mxf from each clip but this doen't combine the longer clips. I am wondering if there is an easier way thank linking each clip seperately which will be very time comsuming. Thank you (read more)

Hello, Shooting video on a7sii the file format is xavc s hd and is recognised as mpeg 4. So I am unable to import the files. What are my options? I know this is a basic question but I am using Avid for the first time and I badly need some help. (read more)

I notice that when I import a 700MB .avi file using the default resolution (1:1 10b RGB MXF) I wind up with a 38GB .mxf file! Switching to the other choice (DNxHD), the resulting file size is more manageable. So what is that first one (1:1) used for? Why does it increase the file size so dramatically... (read more)
