Tutorial: Using some of the BCC 3D Objects Filter Group
By taking time to learn more about Avid FX and the BCC filters, it is possible to save a lot of time doing effects. Those two applications work from within Avid MC. You don't need to export to a 3rd party application and then re-import with all the dangers of reversing field order etc. etc. As my...

Tutorial: What Filters should I see in my Effects Palette?
It is quite easy to forget which filters you had originally after installing Media Composer and which filters are new ones that have been added after installing 3rd party applications. Hopefully this short Tutorial will help you decide if your installations have succeeded or not. Regards, Douglas This...

The BCC Uprez Filter - Part 2 - A comparison of different filters and settings results
In my opinion he BCC Uprez filter is not a magic wand! It can do many things when it comes to uprezzing an SD clip, but it can't do everything. Sometimes the result from a plain simple "resize" in AvidFX can look better, or just as good. It all depends on the composition of your clip.....

I am a relative newcomer to Media Composer (early 2008) and as I began to feel my way around I got the idea of documenting my adventures by creating short video tutorials, Avid had already a large number of excellent, professionally produced tutorials online. I learned very much from watching them. However...
