For offline, creative editing MC is better. However, if you have tons of storage and need effects and compositing right away, DS could be a better bet. Both can display stereoscopic images. The way it works is you load the Filmsribe generated XML, load the FS SCAN Redcine.xls rule and hit CTR+T to translate the XML. A new window pops up with a Redcine formatted XML. It does not get saved automatically. You have to go to Save As and save it yourself. I am not sure that this workflow is valid... (read more)

Higher resolution will give you more noticable image quality but will also slow down processing. Eight resolution processes very fast. The quality is not great but if you're editing on a small screen without external video monitor it's just fine. (read more)
