    Capturing error

Whenever I hook up my camera (Panasonic GS300) and attempt to capture I've generate several conditions and none of the work.  The error I'm getting is ~ port OHIC is busy and cannot be used for deck control~ I've tried everything the help has to offer with no luck.  All I really want to do is just manually capture the video. Any suggestions that can be offered will be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Capturing error

Do you have another firewire device (e.g. external disk ?)connected via the same controller? If so, disconnect it and try again.

    Re: Capturing error

The connector is on my laptop and there is only one.  I do have a few usb ports but I can't see how that would cause the problem.  I'm sure it's in the settings so I'll have to investigate some more. I just got in from work so it will have to be later tonight.  If I can find anything I'll post it. Thank you for your response.
