Downloading and Installing an Avid Editor Macintosh Patch from the Avid Support Download Page

1. Go to www.avid.com/downloads.

2. Scroll down and click Avid Editor Patches.

3. Read the conditions and click “I Accept.”

4. Choose the patch you need from the list of patches, for example Mac v4.0.5.1: AvidMediaComposerPatch_4.0.5.1.dmg.

Important Note:  The Avid editor Macintosh .dmg patch is a full installer and will not overwrite your previous installer. You need to uninstall your previous installed version.

5. Click the .dmg patch file. The patch downloads to your system (Desktop).

6. Double-click the Avideditor.mpkg file (For example, AvidMediaComposer.mpkg) and the Avid Media Composer Installer window opens.

7. Click Continue. Follow the install instructions.

The patch installs on your system.

Download and open the accompanying ReadMe file for the desired patch file to get a list of fixes for the patch you install.
