I would like to be able to match back to precomputes just like you can with master clips. Sometimes you have a graphic in the timeline and want to find the bin it came from but when you hit match frame-no go.
Why do motion effects on AVID still have the same bouncy top line they had in 1995 ? ? ? causing me to blow up all my motion effects by 102%. what a waste of time
That is a real pain, especially if you want to apply a glow, massive flicker over the whole screen, better to crop though or you soften the image.

Type in console :

OK,, I agree
Why not select the clip you want to get in source monitor in the timeline, (in an out point if you want pressing T) Ctrl + Alt + C !and here it is !!!

thb:
While the name ID above the source monitor identifies it as a sub-sequence with your current sequences' name, if you follow Sep's instructions, it does in fact match back to your pre-compute clip as one complete entity and loads it into the source monitor. When you then edit that clip into your sequence, you will see your original pre-compute nomenclature in the timeline.

Not that I can figure out. The "find bin" command doesn't seem to do anything.
chillyche wrote:EXACTLY. Somebody hands me a sequence with offline precomputes or imported clips with alpha channels, and I wanna find the bin these babies are in to batch import, I want to match back a precompute from a sequence to a bin (with a clip I match it into the player window, then I match that into the bin). Why can't I do this? Just fix it, please.
I'm adding my voice to that thread... 10 years later!
I'm working on a project with many Photoshop files imported with their alpha channel. So in the Timeline, they show a little key icon and if I try to match frame one, I get the infamous message "Precomputes can't be loaded in monitors". Which is frustrating as they do open from the bin...
What I need is not only to be able to match frame - otherwise I would just copy them as suggested in that thread. I match frame in order to Find Bin... So I have access to the alternatives to the one that's in the Timeline.
Can we get that one day? Please?
