    pan and scan in 1.7..bug?

Hello... can anyone check this one for me.

I upgraded to 1.7 last week.  Now pan and scan doesn't seem to work right.  When I drop the effect onto a clip and try to increase the scaling, I don't see the box to see how the scaling property is affecting the clip.  I basiclly have to guess how it will look... exit the effect editor and see how far it zooms in once I get to the timeline.

Can anyone confirm if the pan and scan effect gives you the guide marker when you increase the scaling.

    thanks alot,

    -Peter B

**Edit - Disregard this message.  The guide box is back today.  I swear yesterday I could not get it to show up.  oh well.

Re: pan and scan in 1.7..bug?

Peter sounds like it fixed itself but I seem to recall there is a setting in the Pan and Zoom effect window that chooses if the target or source, or something like that, is viewed while adjusting the effect.  One setting showed the box and the other didn't.  Been a while but maybe when you upgraded the first time it dropped on it was in the not show box mode?

Thanks for the reply John.  I do know the option that you are talking about, but that is in pan & zoom.  My problem was with pan & scan.  It has been fine ever since... maybe it was operator error, or just a strange one time thing.  There are still a few other issues with the software but I think they are actual bugs (the timeline will 'break up' when I have a bunch of motion effects and dissolves, match frame still does not work right, etc).

Re: pan and scan in 1.7..bug?

    FYI Peter:
    We're running 3 suites all with 1.7.  W
e haven't seen the Pan&Scan or match frame problems you've had.  But the timeline display break-up you mention occurs on all our systems.  It normally corrects if you refresh the timeline view (zoom in and out or similar).  I first noticed this on 1.6.x versions a few months ago.  So I think it's not a fault with your system.  Anyone else seeing the same when several motion effects clips are cut consecutively on a timeline?
