I am getting this error when trying to capture from tape whith mt Decklink 4k Extreme card... Captring in ProResHQ:

 Exception:  Capturepipe:: BuildRoot BobTee not compatible with upstream producer

It's been a minute since I have done HD Tape Capture but I am sure I have captured ProRes in MC 2021.2 before.  Not sure if one of the updates has killed it or what?  Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this error?  All Non-ProRes formats capture without the error,

I think I may have caught the problem and somebody correct me if wrong, but I guess you cannot capture Standard Def in ProResHQ format in MC 2021.2?  HD seems to capture fine and I had mixed formats on this project.  Even when setting Project Prefs properly during capture, I cannot capture SD ProRes.

Avid has seemingly abandoned SD in many areas. Don't get me started ...... I would suggest that you use a non Avid tool to capture SD ProRes. I am thinking that you have either a Blackmagic IO or a AJA IO card. Both of those companies provide capture software that will do the job. Jef

Can you suggest any other software on a PC Windows 10 64 bitTHt will capture ProRes/ProResHQ?

What hardware do you have? I would tend to use the software developed by the hardware developer. Jef

Windows 10 Pro 64 bit and Black Magic 4k Extreme Capture/Playback card, AVID MC 2021.2, Adobe Premiere (Latestand older for tape capture since they bailed on tape captures :-(  )

I understand that ProRes encoding (Transcode, Import and Export components) was never supported in SD projects.

Even though this setting is available in the capture window, it will not work as you have seen. 

There was a defect MCCET-3710 Error when capturing SD 25i to ProRes Codecs logged against this, but the recommendation was to just capture with another codec, and the customer accepted that workaround at the time, so it was never looked into.
