I've been playing with the MediaProcessor Demo code and was looking at the Sample to Sample bypass. I'm seeing this in the response.
LICENSE_FEATURE_ACTIVE (LicenseFeatures::CHAIN_SAMPLE_TO_SAMPLE, session): MediaProcessor doesn't have sample-to-sample processing activated.
Is there a specific license I'll require? I'm on a Media Composser machine with Avid Link. Are there ProTools or something I will need to install? Thanks.
HI there
I checked with the Developer team and apparently AMT does have something called Media Processor and it does require a license . Although almost no one uses it as there are many other much better options out there for that aspect.
For a while the folks what work on AMT have been pushing to drop Media Processor altogether. AMT just wraps and unwraps from OP1A to OPATOM and vice versa which is the free version of the software. MediaProcessor will process the media, as in transcode it but there are so many transcode options that are more complete vs MediaProcessor no-one really uses it. I think we have 2 AMT users that take advantage of it.
There is indeed a cost for it.

That's what I'm looking for. I'm using Avid Media Toolkit v5.7.220230427025713 but everything appears to be MediaProcessor. If there is a reference on what your just described, 'AMT just wraps and unwraps from OP1A to OPATOM and vice versa which is the free version of the software', please let me know. Thanks.
