Does anyone know what controls the options in the source color space list?  I have one avid, that a shared project is not displaying the correct lut (that is installed on the machine) and is listing a source color space called 23-255 (8bits), that no other avid here has as an option.  It should be Arri Log C4, which all our other avids do have.  I'm just not sure what controls that list and how to get this machine to match the others.  I have tried uninstall, re-install 2024.10, and tried the new 2024.12.  Wiped site settings, MC state etc...and user settings.

    Re: Source Color Space list

    Hi there

Possibly it may be related to plugins installed on a station...  you can also install custom luts to projet or user but the color space I'm not 100%.

I did hear back from enginneeringnand design this morning and .....

It's the source color space of the clip - Ideally, it should be automatically detected from the metadata but in reality it's sometimes not.

It's possible to manually change it, but then again, it's possible that it won't appear in the list (most probably because its not supported by MC...  Its a forever maintenance type of feature, if one desires to keep it up to date) - Basically, this is what informs MC as to which conversions to add when going from source CS to project CS automatically.

We have ARRI logC in the available list, but I don't know if it's exactly the same as ARRI LogC4. In any case, if the user has the necessary LUTs, they can still be applied manually, in which case that source color space tag can be set to anything (it only matters for AUTO LUT additions)

Hope this helps and feel free t email me if you need more info.

    Re: Source Color Space list

Yea I opened and ticket and tried a few things suggested, but it was still not working.  This was Arri 35 media that was ingested via the nablet plugin, but that plugin only exists on 2 machines that I use for that.  The other machines that were displaying it correctly had never had that plugin vs this one machine that was displaying the footage as flat and had that strange color space.  On a whim I just installed the nablet plugin on that machine and then it was fine.  You are correct that the other machines were showing it as that Arri Log C video levels.   This machine does display it as Arri Log C4 now that I installed the plugin.
